NCAA DI Baseball Program

Stetson University Baseball - FL

Stetson University baseball competes at the NCAA DI level in Atlantic Sun Conference and is based in DeLand, FL. Campus enrollment is about 2,297 students. The published acceptance rate is 72%. Recent baseball results include 2026: 23-32. Listed coaches include Nick Restaino, Cameron Coons, Greg Lovelady, Anthony DeFabbia, and Shane Gierke.

A sharp step back left Stetson 23–32 overall and 13–16 in Atlantic Sun play, ending with a 4–6 ASUN Championship opening-round loss to Central Arkansas after a 41–22 NCAA Regional spring in 2025. Shane Gierke now leads the DeLand, Florida, DI Hatters after a July 2026 hire that followed Steve Trimper’s departure; Baseball Forward lists Gierke as head coach. Stabilizing the roster through the transition is the immediate story. Families recruiting into a 39-player 2027 roster should look for a return to the mid-30s in wins before projecting another deep ASUN run.
