North Central Texas College Baseball - TX

North Central Texas College baseball competes at the NJCAA DI level in North Texas Junior College Athletic Conference and is based in Gainesville, TX. Campus enrollment is about 5,863 students. Recent baseball results include 2026: 21-34. Listed coaches include Austin Smith, and Dax Powell.

North Central Texas College has shown a clear upward trend over the past two seasons, improving from five wins in 2024 to 14 in 2025 and 21 in 2026 — a meaningful climb even as overall records remain a work in progress in a competitive NTJCAC. The program carries a large roster of 45 with 25 freshmen, which signals active recruiting investment and gives incoming players a realistic path to meaningful roles. Eligibility turnover is substantial heading into next year, with 20 openings across pitching, catcher, first base, infield, and outfield, making this a program where new arrivals can expect to compete for spots immediately. Interim Head Coach Austin Smith is entering his second season in that role, and the trajectory he has helped build gives recruits a program that appears to be finding its footing.
