Judson reached the NCCAA World Series championship game before a 5–3 loss to Southwestern Christian, finishing 37–23 overall and 19–13 in CCAC play after also winning a pair of conference-tournament games. That continued Evan Ruechel’s rebuild (tenure since 2024) from a 9–41 mark two years earlier through 31–25 in 2025. The Elgin NAIA Eagles now own national-final experience. Families recruiting into a 2027 roster should expect CCAC competitiveness and a program measuring itself by another deep NCCAA run.
