Illinois College earned the No. 2 seed in the Midwest Conference Tournament after a 26–18 overall spring and 15–6 league mark, then fell to Grinnell in the championship game after earlier wins over Beloit and Monmouth. That improved on a 22–18 finish in 2025 and kept the Jacksonville DIII Blueboys in the MWC’s upper tier. Jacob Waddle leads the staff. Recruiting into a large 54-player 2027 roster should expect tournament baseball and weigh how close the club came to an automatic NCAA bid.
