A sharp reset left UC Irvine 25–27 overall and 14–16 in Big West play after back-to-back 40-win springs (43–17 and 45–14). Ben Orloff (tenure since 2018) heads the Irvine, California, NCAA Division I Anteaters following an eighth season that settled mid-table in the league. Public season reviews called it a rebuilding year after elevated roster turnover. Families recruiting into a 51-player 2027 roster should treat a return to 35-plus wins as the clear next step.
