Southwestern Oklahoma State closed 23–25 overall and 13–20 in Great American Conference play, finishing 11th after a 24–23 mark a year earlier. JR Head heads the Weatherford, Oklahoma, DII Bulldogs, whose .322 team batting average ranked among the GAC’s best even as the win total stalled. Five players earned All-GAC recognition in public awards coverage. Families recruiting into a 37-player 2027 roster should look for that offense to convert into a mid-table GAC finish before projecting a tournament berth.
