JC-3C2A Baseball Program

Sacramento City College Baseball - CA

Sacramento City College baseball competes at the JC-3C2A level in California Community College Athletic Association and is based in Sacramento, CA. Campus enrollment is about 17,657 students. Recent baseball results include 2026: 23-20. Listed coaches include Deskaheh Bomberry, Andrew Henning, Derek Sullivan, Pete Pryor, Doug Thennis, Thomas Dixon, and 7 additional coaches.

Derek Sullivan has led Sacramento City College since 2013, and the Panthers went 23–20 overall and 14–10 in conference play in 2026, finishing fifth. On the Baseball Forward podcast, Sullivan said developing players and moving them on to four-year programs is the program's "bread and butter," that the college's goal is for players to earn degrees and transfer, and that an adjacent multi-field complex makes a development model possible that most places can't match. Families weighing a 32-player roster should see Sac City as a launch point, measured by where players go next.
