Neosho County finished 23–34 overall and 11–21 in KJCCC play (6th), a familiar middle-pack spring after 24–30 a year earlier. Longtime head coach Steve Murry leads the Chanute, Kansas, NJCAA DI Panthers and was inducted into the NJCAA Baseball Hall of Fame in June 2026 after four decades and more than 1,200 wins. Recent win totals still trail that historical standard. Families recruiting into a 34-player 2027 roster should treat climbing the Jayhawk East as the clear next step.
